Undergraduate Writing & Technical Coursework#

AI-SAI-Generated Summary H-RHuman Reviewed H-EHuman Edited

These samples come from my undergraduate work before generative AI became part of my regular workflow. I do not present them as current opinions or as polished examples of how I would approach every subject today. I include them because they show the earlier research, writing, mathematical reasoning, and technical communication that developed into my current work.

Relativistic Electrodynamics#

First page of the Relativistic Electrodynamics undergraduate paper

First page of the original 13-page paper.#

I wrote and typeset this 13-page undergraduate physics paper in LaTeX and created its figures in Inkscape. It covers Lorentz transformations, four-vectors, Maxwell’s equations, electromagnetic-field transformations, and tensor notation.

I include it as an early example of critical thinking, source-based technical writing, higher-level mathematical reasoning, custom technical visualization, and organizing an advanced subject into a readable argument.

The Role of Government Regulation Involving Artificial Intelligence#

First page of the 2017 undergraduate paper about artificial-intelligence regulation

First page of the original 2017 paper.#

This is a long-form English paper I wrote during my undergraduate studies in 2017 about artificial intelligence and government regulation.

I do not hold all of the same views now, and I would write parts of it differently today. I include it unaltered because it shows that my interest in artificial intelligence began well before my current work, as well as the writing and research abilities I was developing at the time.

Scientific Research Summaries#

The PHOEBE and cosmology projects also include concise written summaries. I keep those files with their canonical research projects rather than presenting them as separate projects. They show how I translated a research question, assumptions, equations, computational methods, results, and limitations into material that could support a technical presentation.

Cosmology Research Summary

A concise account of the cosmological question, mathematical assumptions, Mathematica modeling approach, and results.

PHOEBE Research Summary

A written overview of eclipsing-binary modeling, the inverse problem, parameter fitting, and the practical limitations of the approach.
