General project timeline#
This is how I developed the suite, from recorded browser actions to reusable helpers, agent-assisted tests, and documentation drafts. The stages overlapped as I worked on them throughout 2025.

Early 2025 |
This Playwright project begins |
I needed to reduce repeated selectors and interactions across existing and legacy applications. |
The browser recording in suite evolution. |
Early in the project |
Function-based POM and login harness |
I moved page behavior, login, navigation, and recurring click handling into reusable functions. |
|
During 2025 |
Helper library and docs as code |
I added shared components, configuration, developer guides, and generated function references to make the suite easier to extend. |
Email templates, addresses, and docs as code. |
Early 2025–December 2025 |
Claude and agent-assisted development |
I used existing functions, documentation, configuration, and examples to guide agents in drafting and refining tests. |
|
As the agent workflow developed |
Shared data and configuration |
I centralized common test values in TypeScript and described helper APIs in JSON for agents to consult. |
|
As the agent workflow developed |
Codegen → summaries → refined stories → specs |
I used raw recordings to develop user stories and generate tests around existing helpers. |
The CIT Corporation examples in agent workflow. |
Alongside the story/test workflow |
Rough user-manual drafts |
I combined stories, tests, configuration, and screenshots as material for draft manual sections. |

Later in the project |
Failure-driven agent repairs |
I used execution failures and story context to guide agents through investigation, edits, and reruns. |
